It’s time

This past year has been a slow evolution for me.  You may have caught drifts of it reading this post or this one.  The past couple months have made things more serious.  I’m doing my research and slowly starting to see what I could be doing better..  Today Lucia and I opened this box of goodness.  Thank you, Vitacost!

The excuse of not having time or money to live a healthier lifestyle doesn’t work.. honestly.   Do I really have time or money for three Dr appointments every week?

What do YOU do to stay healthy?  I know at least a few of you are health nuts.  You know who you are- today is your day to comment.  🙂  Help a sick girl out!  Tell me about the best websites, books, supplements, foods.  I’m ready for it.

One thing I’ll be doing in February is checking out a natural cleaning line called Norwex.  I’ll be hosting a showing at my home and am excited to find out more about the products.   If you didn’t get an invite on Facebook from me (but would like to), leave a comment and I’ll include you!

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. Nutrition geeks is who I get my vitamins/supplements from — http://www.nutritiongeeks.com/
Also, I use Juice Plus and have noticed improvements with my health from it— https://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/content/Welcome.soa
I also LOVE LOVE this– http://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/
(I use the “Everyday Detox” tea)
Lastly, I think one of the best tips I’ve receive was from a friend of mine who reminded me that our skin is our largest organ—that being said what we put on our skin is very crucial to our health. She recommends using as natural as possible products on skin.

  2. Well, you know I am one of those “health nuts”. I try to do things to stay healthy. I am sure that I could do more, though. Here are a few things I try to do on a regular basis.

    1. eat some servings of fruit and vegetables every day
    2. try to avoid fast food
    3. eat fish several times a week
    4. exercise several times a week (aerobic and weight training)
    5. take supplements (multi-vitamin, vitamin C, immune complex)
    6. try to get 8 hours of sleep (this will be a challenge for you with little ones)

I heard that Vitacost is a great place to shop with good prices, but haven’t tried it out yet. Someone recommended it to me for Matt as they have gluten free options. Let me know what you think.

Keep up the good work. We are all learning as we go and trying to make good choices. Love you,
    Cathy
